Framing Carpenter Full Time

We are currently searching for two Framing Carpenters.

Duties:

• Prepare layouts in conformance to building codes, using measuring tools
• Measure, cut, shape, assemble and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel and other materials
• Build foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring and erect walls and roof systems
• Schedule and co-ordinate work on sites.

Applicants must be able to demonstrate extensive framing carpentry experience.

You will be required to train apprentices and labours.

Work Location:

Various sites in the GTA

Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities:

Handling heavy loads, physically demanding, large workload.

Work Site Environment:

At heights, noisy, dusty

Own Tools/Equipment:
Safety equipment/gear, Steel-toed safety boots, hard hat and safety glasses/googles

Work Setting:

Residential and Commercial

Requirements:

2-4 years of work experience in framing carpentry

Credentials

• Personal protective equipment (PPE) training
• Working at heights training
• Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) Certificate
• Fall Arrest Protection training Course

Terms of Employment:

Permanent Position/40 hour per week

Should be available to work a variable work schedule

Hours of Work:

From Monday to Friday from 7 am to 3 pm

Salary:

From CAD$ 38.61 to CAD$ 43.73 per hour depending on your work experience
