WAGES

$16.25/hour for 35-40 hours a week. Overtime will be paid after 40 hours in a week.

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT

·         Permanent, Full time, Part Time, Morning, Day, Evening, Weekend

·         Availability to work in a variety of shifts and at the weekends

SPECIFIC SKILLS

·         Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes or foods as per company menu(s)

·         Plan menus, determine size of food portions, estimate food requirements and costs

·         Oversee and manage kitchen operations

·         Supervise and schedule kitchen staff and helpers

·         Maintain inventory and records of food and other supplies

·         Make sure kitchen and work area is clean and sanitised at all the times as per company policy

·         Assist in training of the new staff

·         Perform other duties as requested by the management team

EDUCATION

Secondary school education is preferred

EXPERIENCE

1-2 years of experience working in a kitchen environment as a cook
OR
Completion of college or other program in cooking

LANGUAGES

English

ADDITIONAL SKILLS

·         Read instructions about operating appliances and equipment

·         Interpret Occupational Health & Safety hazard symbols

·         Check off items and quantities on delivery checklists
