FOOD SERVICE COUNTER ATTENDANT Full Time

Location:  Bubble Tea Brewers Cochrane AB, 122 4th Avenue West Bay 8, Cochrane, AB T4C 0A4

Salary: $15.00/hour, 40 hours per week

Terms of employment: Permanent employment, full time, with working schedule during day, evening, morning, night, weekend; flexible hours

Start date: as soon as possible

Education:  some high school, or secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience

Experience: no experience required; company will train

Work setting:  Town of Cochrane – urban area

Tasks:

·         Clean and sanitize items such as dishwasher mats, carts and waste disposal units

·         Clear and clean tables, trays and chairs

·         Operate dishwashers to wash dishes, glassware and flatware

·         Sanitize and wash dishes and other items by hand

·         Package take-out food

·         Portion and wrap foods

·         Prepare, heat and finish simple food items

·         Serve customers at counters

·         Stock refrigerators

·         Take customers’ orders

·         Use manual and electrical appliances to clean, peel, slice and trim foodstuffs

·         Clean and sanitize kitchen including work surfaces, cupboards, storage areas, appliances and equipment

·         Handle and store cleaning products

·         Receive, unpack and store supplies in refrigerators, freezers, cupboards and other storage areas

·         Remove kitchen garbage and trash

·         Sharpen kitchen knives

·         Sweep, mop, wash and polish floors

·         Wash, peel and cut vegetables and fruit

Security and safety:  we will ask for criminal record check

Transportation/travel information:  Public transportation is available

Work conditions and physical capabilities:  fast-paced environment, physically demanding, repetitive tasks, standing for extended periods

Certificates, licenses, memberships, and courses: Food Safety Certificate, Safe Food Handling certificate (can be done after hiring)

Equipment and machinery experience: Deep fryer; electronic cash register; Food dispensers (if no experience, we will train)

Weight handling:  Up to 9 kg (20 lbs)

Personal suitability: Client focus, efficient, interpersonal skills, reliability and team player
