Position: Self-serve gas bar attendant (NOC 65100)

Duties:

– Operate cash register and process money, cheques and credit/debit card payments
– Scan items and calculate daily/shift payments received and reconcile with total sales
– Greet customers, wrap or place merchandise in bags, weigh produce and bulk foods
– Provide customer service, participate in promotional activities
– Verify the age of customers when selling lottery tickets, alcohol or tobacco products
– Clean and maintain work space (counter, washroom, floor, gas pump, gas station)
– Brew and prepare coffee for customers
– Stock shelves

Terms of employment: 30-44 hours per week

Contract duration: 2 years

Language of work: English

Wage: $15 per hour

Skills requirements:

– Ability to learn how to operate cash register, and how to accurately process money, cheques and credit/debit card payments.
– Ability to adapt to physically demanding, combination of sitting, standing, walking environment.
– Ability to stand for 8 – 10 hour shifts and handle heave load (up to 40 lbs.) when required.
– Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and endure repetitive tasks.
