The Supermarket Meat Cutter position contributes to the success of City Avenue Market by ensuring the availability of high-quality meat products and delivering exceptional customer service.

Title of position: Supermarket Meat Cutter
Location：2279 Commercial Drive, Vancouver, British Columbia, V5N 4B6
Wage: $21.00 / hour
Start Date: As soon as possible
Vacancies: 2 vacancy
Terms of employment: Permanent employment, Full time
Hours of work: 35 hours per week
Benefits: 4% vacation pay

Main job duties include:

Cut, weigh, package, label and price meat, meat products for sale
Grind meats and slice cooked meats using powered grinders and slicing machines
Inspect the quality of meat, to ensure freshness, proper packaging, and adherence to safety standards.
Assist in monitoring meat inventory levels, communicating with the management team, and restocking as needed.
ensure the safety of customers and maintain a clean work environment.
Comply with government health and safety standards and occupational health and safety standards.

We are looking for someone with the following skills:

Secondary school certificate and equivalent experience;
Physical Capabilities
Fast-paced and combination of standing, walking and lifting environment

Qualifications:

Minimum Education: Completion of secondary school is required.

Minimum experience: no related experience required, we will provide on-the-job training.
