Cook Full Time

Spring Moon Japanese Restaurant – is currently looking for 1 COOK for our Timberlea location 180-151 Loutit Road, Fort McMurray, Alberta, T9K 0K6. This position is Permanent full time, 5 days per week (40 hrs per week) including days, evenings and weekends. $17.50 per hour. OT paid at time & a half after 44 hrs/wk, 4% vacation pay. Cost of transportation to Fort McMurray for any candidates not already in the city, will be covered by the employer. Candidates may be required to work occasionally at our second location in Thickwood (384 Silin Forest Road, Fort McMurray, AB, T9H 4A3). Completion of high school required. Completion of a three-year apprenticeship program OR Completion of College or other program in cooking OR several years’ experience is required. Must speak English. To start ASAP

Duties include:

–        Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes and foods

–        Keep kitchen and work areas clean and tidy

–        Maintain inventory & records of food, supplies & equipment

–        Inspect kitchens, maintain and manage the kitchen

–        Schedule & supervise kitchen helpers

–        Train kitchen staff

–        Ensure quality of food and determine size of food portions
