Baker Full Time

Goodman’s Fine Foods is a Gourmet Food Store in the heart of Downtown Newmarket. Goodman’s Fine Foods (GFF’s) was born out of a partnership with Metropolis Mercantile in 2020.

Our goal has always been to provide locally-sourced gourmet food, specialty food products and housewares of the highest quality. Goodman’s Fine Foods is dedicated to providing exceptional quality fresh bakery made with the finest ingredients. Food is our passion, our team of expert bakers starts their day early, meticulously preparing each item with precision and care.

At this point we are looking for am enthusiastic baker to join our amazing team.

JOB TYPES: Full-time, Permanent

DUTIES:

·         Prepare dough for pies, bread, rolls and sweet goods, batters for muffins, cookies and cakes and icings and frostings according to recipes or special customer orders

·         Bake mixed dough and batters

·         Train staff in preparation, cooking and handling of food

·         Prepare special orders

·         Supervise baking personnel and kitchen staff

·         Frost and decorate cakes and baked goods

·         Train staff

·         Ensure that the quality of products meets established standards

·         Inspect kitchen and food service areas

·         Operate machinery

·         Organize and maintain inventory

REQUIREMENTS:

7 months to less than 1 year

Knowledge of Hebrew is an asset
