Job requirements

Language: English

Education: secondary (high school) graduation certificate

Experience: Experience an asset

Employment conditions: Day, Early Morning, Evening, Morning, Night, Weekend

Work Setting: Various Locations

Credentials: Certificates, licenses, memberships, and courses, Driver’s License (Class 1 or A)

Experience and specialization:

Documentation Knowledge: Driver logbook, Inspection report (pre-trip,en-route,post-trip),

Maintenance and repair reports

Type of trucking and equipment: Dump truck

Work conditions and physical capabilities: Attention to detail, Repetitive tasks, Physical demanding

Own tools/Equipment: Hard hat, Steel-toed safety boots

Security and safety:

Valid Passport

Criminal record check

Driver’s validity license check

Driving record check (abstract)

Drug test

Medical exam

Personal suitability: Reliability, Organized, Flexibility

Tasks: Address Customers’ complaints or concerns, Professionalism in customer service, Load and unload goods, Obtain special permits and other documents required to transport cargo on international routes, Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and material, Oversee condition of vehicle and inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage and other equipment, Perform brake adjustments, Perform emergency roadside repairs, Perform pre-trip, en route and post-trip inspection and oversee all aspects of vehicle, Perform preventive maintenance, Record cargo information, hours of service, distance travelled and fuel consumption, Tarping and ensuring safety and security of cargo
