Permanent Position: Drywall Taper

Terms of Employment: Permanent, Full Time

Wage Rate: $28.00 per hour, for 37.50 hours per week

Anticipated Start Date: As soon as possible

Head Office: 14366 82 AVE, SURREY BC, V3W OJ4, CANADA

Location of Work: Candidates will be required to work at various locations in Fraser Valley & Lower Mainland depending upon the Company’s contracts

Education: Completion of Secondary School

Experience: 1 – 2 years of related experience

Language: Basic English

Major Work Area: Construction- Residential & Commercial

Job Duties:

·        Apply, level and smooth coats of plaster

·        Clean and prepare surfaces

·        Removal of plasters, drywall, and panelling with help of crowbar and hammer to prepare clean surface

·        Responsible for measuring and installing drywall panels to accommodate electrical outlets, air-conditioning units and plumbing.

·        Using joint compound to fill up joints, holes and cracks

·        With the help of using tape machine and tape compound, tape over joints.

·        Making sure insulation is installed between studs thoroughly to make moisture barrier

·        Remove excess materials from finished construction projects.

Additional Skills: Work at heights, handling loads, bending, crouching, kneeling, Hand eye co-ordination
