Butcher – Retail or Wholesale Full Time

Ocean Park Fine Meats is currently seeking a Butcher who is responsible for preparing standard and specialty cuts of meat or/and poultry for sale in retail or wholesale food establishments.

Location：12852 16th Ave., Surrey, British Columbia, V4A 1N6
Wage: $23.00 / hour
Start Date: As soon as possible
Vacancies: 1 vacancy
Terms of employment: Permanent employment, Full time
Hours of work: 40 hours per week
Benefits: 4% vacation pay

Main job duties include:

• Cut, trim, bone, tie and grind meats for sale at self-serve counters or according to customers’ orders
• Prepare meat for special displays and/or delivery
• Manage inventory, keep records of sales and determine amount, product line and freshness of products according to customer requirements
• Wrap and package prepared cuts of meat for retail/wholesale.
• Ensure food storage conditions are adequate

We are looking for someone with the following skills:

• Secondary school certificate and equivalent experience;
• Physical Capabilities
• Fast-paced and combination of standing, walking and lifting environment

Qualifications:

Minimum Education: Completion of secondary school is required.

Minimum experience: 1 year’s related experience
