Cook – Rivers Cafe Full Time

Rivers Café (9825 Hardin St. Fort McMurray, Alberta, T9H 4G9) is currently looking for 1 COOK. This position is Permanent full time, 5 days per week (40 hrs per week) including Morning days, evenings and weekends. $17.50 per hour. 4% vacation pay. Cost of transportation to Fort McMurray for any candidates not already in the city, will be covered by the employer. Candidates may be required to occasionally work at our second location, Blue Diamond (384 Silin Forest Road, Fort McMurray, Alberta, T9H 4A3). Completion of high school required. Completion of a three-year apprenticeship program OR Completion of College or other program in cooking OR several years’ experience is required. Must speak basic English. To start ASAP.

Duties include:

–        Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes and foods

–        Keep kitchen and work areas clean and tidy

–        Maintain inventory & records of food, supplies & equipment

–        Inspect kitchens, maintain and manage the kitchen

–        Schedule & supervise kitchen helpers

–        Train kitchen staff

–        Ensure quality of food and determine size of food proportions
