Server Full Time

Sunset Grill Restaurant is a full service restaurant located at  90 Thorburn Ave unit 4110 4120, Red Deer, AB, Canada.  We are seeking 2 enthusiastic servers to join our team as soon as possible on a full time basis. As a server, you will be assigned the following duties:

• Greet our guests, present menus, make recommendations and answer questions regarding our food and beverages.
• Take orders and relay to kitchen and bar staff.
• Recommend wines from our wine selection, when requested by patrons.
• Follow proper ID protocol to ensure those who wish to order alcohol are of legal age.
• Serve food and beverages.
• Present bill to patrons and accept payment using our point of sale system.
• Clear and clean tables.
• Work at a consistent and efficient pace, ensuring all our guests get their orders taken, served and billed in a timely manner.
• Deal with customers complaints or concerns when those arise and address them or relay those to a supervisor or manager on duty, if necessary.

Terms  of employment: 2-year contract

Qualifications & Experience:

• Minimum one year of serving experience in a high-volume restaurant.
• Valid ProServe certificate.
• Must have a positive attitude and possess excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Must be able to multi-task and handle competing priorities and a fast-paced environment.
• Requires standing/walking throughout the shift.
• Must be available on the weekends.

Education and Training:

• Minimum of secondary (high school) graduation certificate or equivalent experience
• ProServe certificate
