Cook Full Time

Sweet Basil – 384 Silin Forest Rd, Fort McMurray, AB T9H 4A3 – is currently looking for 1 COOK. This position is Permanent full time, 5 days per week (40 hrs per week) including days, evenings and weekends. $17.50 per hour. OT will be paid at time & a half after 8 hrs/day or 44 hrs/wk whichever is greater. 4% vacation pay. Cost of transportation only (not relocation) to Fort McMurray for any candidates not already in the city, will be covered by the employer. Candidate may be required to work occasionally at our second location as well – 254 Gregoire Drive, Fort McMurray, Alberta T9H 4K6. Completion of high school required. Completion of a three-year apprenticeship program OR Completion of College or other related program OR several years’ experience is required. Must speak English. To start ASAP

Duties include:

–          Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes and foods

–          Keep kitchen and work areas clean and tidy

–          Maintain inventory & records of food, supplies & equipment

–          Inspect kitchens, maintain and manage the kitchen

–          Schedule & supervise kitchen helpers

–          Train kitchen staff

–          Ensure quality of food and determine size of food proportions
