Responsibilities
Tasks

ü  Bring clean dishes, flatware, and other items to serving areas and set tables.

ü  Clean and sanitize items such as dishwasher mats, carts and waste disposal units.

ü  Clear and clean tables, trays, and chairs.

ü  Load bus pans and trays

ü  Operate dishwashers to wash dishes, glassware and flatware.

ü  Place dishes in storage area

ü  Replenish condiments and other supplies at tables and serving areas.

ü  Sanitize and wash dishes and other items by hand.

ü  Scour pots and pans.

ü  Package take-out food

ü  Portion and wrap foods.

ü  Prepare, heat and finish simple food items.

ü  Serve customers at counters or buffet tables.

ü  Stock refrigerators and salad bars

ü  Take customers’ orders.

ü  Use manual and electrical appliances to clean, peel, slice, and trim foodstuffs.

ü  Clean and sanitize kitchen including work surfaces, cupboards, storage areas, appliances, and equipment.

ü  Handle and store cleaning products

ü  Receive, unpack, and store supplies in refrigerators, freezers, cupboards and other storage areas.

ü  Remove kitchen garbage and trash.

ü  Sharpen kitchen knives.

ü  Sweep, mop, wash, and polish floors

ü  Wash, peel and cut vegetables and fruit.
