Main duties
- Supervisors in this unit group perform some or all of the following duties for day-care:
- Co-ordinate, assign and review the work of clerks engaged in the following duties: word processing; record keeping and filing; operating telephones and switchboards; data entry; desktop publishing; and other activities involving general office and administrative skills
- Establish work schedules in the day-care and procedures and co-ordinate activities with other work units or departments in the day-care example teachers, cooks, cleaners etc
- Resolve work-related problems when it arises and prepare and submit progress and other reports for review to the manager
- Train workers in job duties, safety procedures and company policies for the day-care
- Requisition supplies and materials required by the children and staff in the day-care
- Ensure smooth operation of office equipment and machinery, and arrange for maintenance and repair work
- May perform the same duties as workers supervised.
- Prepare roster for staff who will do after hour day-care support for parents
Education
- Secondary school is required
- Certification in office administration
Experience
- Experience as a clerk or administrative staff for 2 to 3 years will be an added advantage
Language
English language Band 4 or 5
Availability
As soon as possible. The summer is around the corner and parents need where to drop their children to be able to go to work.
