Job Summary:
We are seeking a caring, enthusiastic, and qualified Early Childhood Educator (ECE) to join our team. The ECE will be responsible for creating a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment that supports the physical, emotional, social, and cognitive development of young children in accordance with licensing regulations, curriculum goals, and the philosophy of our center.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and implement developmentally appropriate activities that support children’s growth and learning
- Ensure the safety, security, and well-being of all children at all times
- Build positive and respectful relationships with children, families, and team members
- Maintain a clean, organized, and stimulating classroom environment
- Observe and document children's progress and communicate with families regularly
- Guide children’s behavior in a positive and supportive manner
- Assist with meals, rest routines, and personal care as required
- Follow all health, safety, and licensing regulations and policies of the center
- Participate in team meetings, training, and professional development opportunities
- Contribute to a warm, inclusive, and respectful team environment
Qualifications:
- Early Childhood Education (ECE) Certification Level 1, 2, or 3
- Current First Aid and CPR certification
- Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Screening
- Knowledge of child development and play-based learning
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Reliable, flexible, and compassionate
Preferred Experience:
- 1 year Previous experience working in a licensed childcare setting
- Familiarity with Emergent Curriculum and FLIGHT
- Active, fast-paced childcare environment
- Physical demands may include lifting children, sitting on the floor, and outdoor supervision in various weather
Wages: $19.24/hour
Hours: 32 to 40 hours per week
