Kapps Pizza Place is currently seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Prep Cook to join our kitchen team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced culinary environment and is passionate about food preparation and kitchen operations.
Position Details
Job Title: Prep Cook
Number of Positions: 1
Location: 418 Boivin Road, Elkford, BC
Employment Type: Full-Time (40 hours/week)
Wage rate: $21.50/hr
Key Responsibilities
· Prepare and portion ingredients (vegetables, meats, sauces, etc.) for daily service
· Assemble and cook pizzas according to restaurant recipes and standards
· Operate pizza ovens and monitor food cooking times and temperatures
· Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of workstations, kitchen equipment, and storage areas
· Monitor food quality and presentation to ensure consistency and customer satisfaction
· Follow all food safety, hygiene, and health standards
· Assist in receiving and organizing kitchen inventory
Support the kitchen team in other food preparation and cleaning tasks as needed
Qualifications
· Completion of secondary school
· Previous kitchen or food prep experience is an asset, but not required
· Ability to work efficiently in a team environment
· Food safety certificate is an asset
· Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness
· Reliable, punctual, and willing to learn
