Duties:
- Operate heavy equipment such as backhoes, bulldozers, loaders and graders to excavate, move, load and grade earth, rock, gravel or other materials during construction and related activities.
- Interpret blueprints, maps, drawings and specifications to plan methods or sequences of operation.
- Read and interpret construction plans, blueprints, or job site instructions.
- Adjust processing machines and equipment.
- Measure distance, volume, length and weight.
- Perform minor repairs to equipment.
- Understand the purpose, proper usage and information found on material safety data sheets.
- Conduct pre-operational checks on equipment and clean, lubricate and refill equipment.
