Wage: $22 per hour, average 40-hour work week.
Other benefits: $30 per week gas allowance
Occasional evening or night shifts may be required with reasonable notice.
The nanny is expected to be flexible based on the family’s needs, including some weekend or night care on an as-needed basis. Weekly schedules will be provided a week in advance.
Job description:
- Feeding and ensuring proper nutrition, including bottle-feeding or preparing age-appropriate meals snacks
- Changing diapers and maintaining proper hygiene (bathing, dressing, etc.)
- Creating a structured daily routine, including naps and playtime
- Engaging in age-appropriate developmental activities (reading, music, sensory play, etc.)
- Encouraging physical development
- Supervising indoor and outdoor activities to ensure safety
- Administering basic first aid as needed and reporting any medical concerns immediately
- Monitoring baby’s milestones and communicating progress to parents
- Cleaning bottles, baby utensils, and highchair after meals
- Washing and folding baby’s laundry
- Organizing baby’s play area, toys, and essentials
- Keeping the baby’s sleeping area tidy
- Light housekeeping duties
Requirements:
- 1+ year experience caring for babies or young children
- Knowledge of feeding, diapering, and baby hygiene
- Able to follow daily routines and support baby development
- Basic first aid skills; CPR certification is an asset.
- Responsible, caring, and reliable
- Good communication with parents
- Can do light housekeeping related to baby care
