Job Title: Cook
Job Summary:
We are looking for a skilled and enthusiastic Cook to join our kitchen team. The ideal candidate is passionate about breakfast food, organized, and works well under pressure to ensure every dish is prepared and plated with care. This is a day-shift-only position
Responsibilities:
1. Cooking: Breakfast, lunch, sweets and others ad-hoc orders from customers.
2. Preparations: Prepare various ingredients including, but not limited to, vegetables, soup, meats, fruits, sauces and dressing.
3. Inventory management: check ingredients and inventory quality daily, follow FIFO procedures to rotate inventory daily/weekly prevent/limit the food waste. Check inventory daily and week to prepare weekly order list.
4. Food safety control: follow food safety policies to manage perishable and non-perishable ingredients. Inspect ingredients quality before using, especially during the opening and before closing. Check fridge/freezer temperatures during opening and closing procedure to ensure food storage safety.
5. Kitchen cleaning: follow AHS policies to use and clean equipment, tools, and accessories during cooking and operating. Keep garbage bins clean during daily operation, and dump garbage as needed. Clean equipment during daily closure procedure.
6. Kitchen safety control: using kitchen equipment with extra care, follow the user’s instruction to eliminate/minimize the harm or injury. Turn-off/shutdown the equipment during closing procedure.
Qualifications:
Completion of high school. At least 7 months of cook experience.
Previous experience as a cook, preferably in a breakfast or brunch setting, is a strong asset.
Ability to work efficiently and stay calm during busy brunch rushes.
Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality and consistency.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Flexibility to work early morning shifts.

Competitive hourly wage: $17-18 per hour based on experience
