We are looking for a “Quality Control Technician- food processing” for Sweets from the Earth located at 101 Canarctic Drive, North York, ON M3J 2N7, Canada.

TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Perform day-to-day quality assurance activities, including inspections, internal audits, recommending corrective actions, and preparing reports within a fast-paced food manufacturing environment.
Compile, analyze, and evaluate experimental or analytical data to support quality control decisions.
Assist in developing and implementing sampling and analysis programs to maintain consistent quality standards.
Set up and conduct chemical experiments, tests, and analyses related to food products and ingredients.
Maintain accurate records of analytical studies, inspections, and test results.
Carry out technical functions in support of chemical research, tests, analyses, and environmental monitoring, including air and water quality.
Assist with the design, setup, and construction of experimental or laboratory equipment.
Implement and maintain quality control procedures, ensuring compliance with internal and regulatory standards.
Identify, document, and manage non-conformances, implementing corrective actions as required.
Verify product labels to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with procedure requirements, including proper sign-offs.
Monitor production processes to ensure adherence to established quality protocols.
Support continuous improvement initiatives by identifying trends, potential risks, and opportunities for quality enhancement.
Collaborate with production, R&D, and management teams to maintain food safety, quality, and regulatory compliance.
Prerequisites:
Education: College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years or equivalent experience
Experience & Skills: 2 years to less than 3 years of experience..
Language English
Hourly Rate: $36.00 to $38.00 per hour for 30 to 40 Hours per week
Starting Date: As soon as possible
Terms of Employment: Full time and permanent
