SKILLS
· Conduct continuous plant inspection throughout the year to identify plant health issues, winter damage, disease symptoms, pest activity, and nutrient deficiencies.
· Perform ongoing plant care throughout all seasons, including pruning, training, canopy management, and removal of dead or damaged plant material.
· Apply fertilizers, compost, soil amendments, and nutrients according to crop requirements and seasonal growth stages.
· Monitor and manage soil conditions year-round, including soil health, drainage, erosion control, and moisture levels.
· Carry out insect monitoring and pest control activities, including identification of infestations and application of approved control methods.
· Perform weed control throughout the year using manual removal, mechanical methods, mulching, and approved herbicide application where required.
· Monitor, prevent, and control mold, fungal diseases, and plant pathogens through inspection, removal of infected material, and application of treatments.
· Operate and maintain irrigation systems year-round, including monitoring water distribution, adjusting schedules, and ensuring efficient water use.
· Maintain and repair irrigation infrastructure including wells, well pumps, irrigation lines, valves, filters, emitters, and sprinkler systems.
· Assist in all harvesting activities during the harvest season, including hand-picking blueberries at peak ripeness.
· Perform post-harvest field cleanup and preparation, including removal of debris, sanitation, pruning preparation, and orchard reset activities.
· Carry out product handling, including sorting, grading, cleaning, and processing of harvested blueberries.
· Package and prepare blueberry products for storage, refrigeration, and distribution.
· Operate cold storage facilities and monitor temperature and humidity conditions to maintain product quality.
· Load, organize, and prepare products for shipping and distribution, ensuring proper documentation and inventory tracking.
· Perform maintenance and repair of farm buildings, sheds, packing areas, fences, and related infrastructure.
· Maintain, service, and repair farm machinery and equipment including tractors, sprayers, mowers, trailers, and agricultural implements.
· Conduct routine lubrication, cleaning, inspection, and replacement of worn or damaged machine parts.
· Assist with general farm infrastructure maintenance, including road upkeep, drainage systems, and field access routes.
· Remove snow, ice, and debris from farm access areas and workspaces during winter months to ensure safe operations.
· Support general farm operations as required, including inventory management, supply organization, and preparation for seasonal transitions.
· Assist supervisors in all farming activities necessary to ensure efficient, continuous, and productive year-round farm operations.

No language requirements
Any farm related courses would be an asset
Basic farm knowledge (gained from working in family farm is also acceptable)
