Location: - 50 Taunton Road East, Unit 1-2, Oshawa, Ontario, L1G 3T7
· Salary: 36.00 hourly / 30 hours per week
· Terms of employment: Permanent employment, Full time. Must be flexible to work morning, Day, Evening, Weekend, and holidays.

Education: Completion of High School and College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a related program of 3 months to less than 1 year.
Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years of hands-on experience in the food service sector.
Credentials: Safe Food Handling certificate
Security and safety: Basic security clearance
Workplace information: On site
On site: Work must be completed at the physical location. There is no option to work remotely.
Responsibilities and Tasks
· Develop budget to determine cost of food, ingredients, alcohol, kitchen and cleaning supplies.
· Establish methods to reduce food wastage.
· Monitor revenues to determine labour cost.
· Collaborating with owners to design, price, and update menus based on food trends, customer preferences, and profitability.
· Evaluate daily operations in the department.
· Order supplies, manage inventory levels of food and beverage, and sourcing high-quality ingredients at the best prices.
· Training, and mentoring kitchen staff.
· Resolving employee issues.
· Enforce provincial/territorial liquor legislation and regulations.
· Enforcing sanitation policies, HACCP standards, and ensuring all safety regulations are followed.
· Negotiate arrangements with suppliers for food and other supplies.
· Negotiate with clients for catering or use of facilities.
· Participate in marketing plans and implementation.
· Manage events.
· Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen, restaurant and food service area.
· Assist cooks/chefs with preparation of food orders in peak hours.
· Ensure customer satisfaction in food orders.
· Act as a bridge between the kitchen and front-of-house staff to ensure timely and accurate service.
· Any other duties as required per business needs.
