Food Services Manager
We are looking for a well experienced Food Services Manager for a well-known eatery “Vibo Restaurant & Cafe” located at 2995 Bloor Street West Etobicoke, ON M8X 1C1, Canada.

JOB DUTIES:
Plan, organize, direct, and evaluate all restaurant operations, including dine-in, take-out, and private event services, ensuring consistency with Vibo’s Italian fine-dining standards and service expectations.
Develop and implement operational procedures and service standards aligned with traditional Italian cuisine, including menu sequencing (antipasti, pasta, mains), presentation, and customer dining experience.
Oversee menu planning in coordination with the kitchen team by reviewing Italian dishes such as handmade pasta (e.g., fettuccine Bolognese, gnocchi), seafood preparations (e.g., branzino, mussels), and veal specialties to ensure quality, authenticity, and cost control.
Recruit, train, and supervise front-of-house and kitchen staff, ensuring knowledge of Italian menu items, ingredients, preparation methods, wine pairing basics, and customer service standards.
Establish and manage staff schedules across kitchen and service teams to meet operational demands during peak dining hours and private events while controlling labour costs.
Manage inventory and procurement of food, beverages, and specialty Italian ingredients, including imported products, ensuring proper stock levels, supplier coordination, and waste minimization.
Ensure compliance with all health, safety, sanitation, and food-handling regulations by conducting regular inspections and maintaining high standards across kitchen, storage, and dining areas.
Coordinate and oversee private dining and catering functions, including menu selection, staffing, and service execution, ensuring all events meet Vibo’s quality and presentation standards.
Prerequisites:
Education: Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
Experience & Skills: 5 years or more.
Language: English
Cuisine Specialties Knowledge: Italian
Hourly Rate: $36.00 to $37.00 for 30 to 40 hours per week.
Starting Date: As soon as possible
Terms of Employment: Fulltime and permanent
