Position Title: Pharmacy Assistant
NOC: 33103 – Pharmacy technical assistants and pharmacy assistants
Salary: $19.50 per hour
Hours: 30–40 hours per week
Employment Type: Full-time, Permanent
Start Date: As soon as possible

Work Schedule: Morning, Evening, Weekends; shift work required
Remote Work: Not available; all duties must be performed on-site
Job Duties (as per NOC 33103)
The Pharmacy Assistant will perform the following duties:
Ensure accuracy of information on prescriptions before processing
Assist pharmacists by preparing, packaging, and labelling medications
Enter client and prescription information into pharmacy databases
Maintain prescription records and patient files
Maintain and update inventory of medications and pharmaceutical supplies
Prepare medications for clients under pharmacist supervision
Prepare and maintain pharmacy equipment and supplies
Assist in compounding basic pharmaceutical preparations such as oral solutions, ointments, or creams (as required)
May process medical billing information
May price, label, and stock items on shelves
Requirements
Languages: English
Education:
Completion of a Pharmacy Assistant or related college program (6–12 months) OR
Completion of secondary school with several months of on-the-job training
Experience:1 to 7 months of experience in a similar role is an asset (training provided)
Work Setting
Community pharmacy/retail drugstore
Fast-paced environment; requires attention to detail and accuracy
