Sous Chef
We are looking for well-experienced Sous Chef for a well-known restaurant “Browns Social house”, located at #101- 1180 Columbia St W, Kamloops, BC, V2C 6R6, Canada.

TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Execute Browns Social house's West Coast–inspired menu while ensuring adherence to established recipes, techniques, and plating standards.
Apply advanced culinary techniques including grilling, sautéing, roasting, seafood preparation, and sauce production in a high-volume kitchen.
Supervise grill and sauté station operations to ensure proper preparation of proteins, seafood dishes, and pan sauces.
Monitor food quality, presentation, timing, and consistency across all kitchen stations during service.
Lead kitchen staff during peak service periods, coordinating workflow and station performance.
Train cooks on grilling, sauté techniques, roasting methods, seafood preparation, and sauce execution.
Support execution of seasonal features and limited-time menu offerings according to Brown's culinary standards.
Monitor portion control, ingredient usage, and food waste to maintain food cost targets.
Assist with inventory planning, ordering, and receiving to ensure ingredient quality and availability.
Maintain kitchen operating procedures to ensure safe, efficient, and consistent food production.
Prerequisites:
Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience
Experience & Skills: 5 years or more of experience in the food industry.
Language -English
Hourly Rate: $37.00 to $38.00 per hour for 30 to 40 Hours per week
Starting Date: As soon as possible
Terms of Employment: Fulltime and permanent
Benefits: 4 % Vacation Pay
