Job Duties:
The candidate will be responsible for the following jobs and duties:
Inspect, measure, and mark surfaces to ensure accurate flooring installation
Measure, cut, and fasten underlay and underpadding materials
Plan flooring layouts and coordinate installation schedules
Prepare estimates, tenders, and quotations for flooring projects as required
Measure, cut, and install resilient floor coverings including vinyl and similar materials
Inspect, repair, or replace damaged or worn floor coverings
Prepare floors for installation by cleaning, leveling, and applying necessary materials
Install vinyl decking systems in compliance with design specifications
Ensure all work is completed in accordance with safety and quality standards
Job Requirements:
Secondary school education required
Experience an asset
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Physically capable of lifting materials and performing manual work
Knowledge of workplace safety practices
Trade certification is an asset but not mandatory
Language Requirement:
English
