Job Description / Duties
The Painter will be responsible for performing the following duties:
· Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, scraping, and smoothing walls and other structures
· Repair surface defects such as cracks, holes, and damaged areas prior to painting
· Mix paints, coatings, and finishes to achieve specified colours and textures
· Measure, cut, and apply wallpaper, wall fabric, and other decorative coverings
· Advise clients on colour selection, finishes, and suitable wall covering options
· Set up and dismantle scaffolding, swing stages, and rigging equipment safely
· Apply paint, wallpaper, and finishing materials to interior and exterior surfaces using appropriate tools
· Estimate material quantities and labour costs for painting projects
· Maintain tools and equipment in safe working condition
· Follow all workplace health and safety regulations
Job Requirements
· Secondary school education required
· Experience an asset
· Ability to work independently and as part of a team
· Physically capable of performing manual work and working at heights
· Knowledge of painting techniques, materials, and safety practices
· Trade certification is an asset but not mandatory
Language Requirement
