Job Description
Alpha Center is seeking a Corporate Law Legal Assistant to provide administrative and legal support in a corporate and civil litigation practice. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing legal documentation, coordinating office procedures, and ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
This position is offered on a permanent, full-time basis and requires both on-site and remote work.
Duties and Responsibilities
Coordinate the flow of information within the office
Open, review, and distribute incoming mail and electronic correspondence
Schedule and confirm client appointments and meetings
Establish and maintain office procedures and administrative routines
Prepare financial statements, reports, and invoices
Draft, prepare, and key in legal documents and correspondence
Review and proofread legal documents to ensure accuracy, grammar, and compliance with legal procedures
Perform basic bookkeeping tasks
Ensure compliance with government regulations and internal policies
Draft legal correspondence related to corporate and civil litigation matters
Maintain files related to contracts, reports, and records
Requirements
Language:
English
Education:
Completion of a college, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma program of 1 to 2 years in a legal or related administrative field
Experience:
Minimum 5 years of experience as a legal assistant or in a related legal administrative role
Experience and Specialization (Assets)
Experience with contracts and legal correspondence
Experience preparing invoices, reports, and records
Experience in civil litigation
Insurance or medical-related legal experience
