Schedule: May include morning, evening, nigh and weekend shifts, depending on family needs.

Wage and Hours

· Wage: $21.00 per hour

· Hours: 30 to 44 hours per week

· Overtime: Paid after 44 hours per week as per Ontario Employment Standards Act

Job Overview

The employer is seeking a reliable and responsible Child Care Provider to provide care and supervision for two school-aged children in a private household. The successful candidate will support the children’s daily routines, well-being, and development while maintaining a safe and organized home environment and transporting one child to scheduled speech therapy and extracurricular activities.

· Previous experience as a nanny, babysitter, or child caregiver preferred

· Valid driver’s licence (required for transportation duties)

Main Responsibilities

The Child Care Provider will be responsible for the following duties:

· Supervise and care for two school-aged children in the employer’s residence

· Maintain a safe, clean, and healthy environment in the home

· Prepare and serve nutritious meals and snacks for the children

· Assist children with daily routines including personal hygiene and dressing

· Support children’s emotional well-being and social development

· Help children with homework and school-related activities

· Plan and organize age-appropriate activities such as games, reading, and outings

· Take children to and from school, speech therapy appointments, and extracurricular activities

· Discipline children according to the methods requested by the parents

· Keep records of daily activities and relevant health information regarding the children

· Perform light housekeeping duties related to child care (tidying play areas, children’s laundry, and meal clean-up)

· Shop for food and household supplies when required

· Travel with the family on trips and assist with child supervision and related duties when necessary

· Assume full responsibility for the household in the absence of the parents
