About the Position
The Esposo Family is seeking a caring, responsible, and reliable Child Caregiver to support their household and provide attentive care to their school aged child. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with kids, is organized, and can maintain a safe and nurturing home environment.
Optional accommodation is available at no charge on a live in basis. Note: This is not a condition of employment.
Responsibilities
Supervise and care for child
Assume full responsibility for the household in parents’ absence
Discipline child according to parental guidelines
Instruct child in personal hygiene and social development
Maintain a safe and healthy home environment
Prepare and serve nutritious meals
Keep daily records of activities and health information
Tend to the emotional well being of child
Help child with homework
Take child to and from school and appointments
Work Environment
Non smoking household
Public transportation available
Repetitive tasks may be required
Qualifications
Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
Experience: 7 months to less than 1 year of childcare experience
Certificates: First Aid Certificate, Red Cross Babysitting Course
Target Age Group: School aged children (6–12 years)
Personal Suitability: Client focused, Reliable and organized, Strong interpersonal skills, Flexible and able to use good judgement, Team player, Shows initiative
Security & Safety: Criminal record check required
