Job Summary:
The Landscape Supervisor is responsible for overseeing daily operations related to grounds maintenance and landscape construction. This role involves supervising staff, planning projects, managing resources, and ensuring high-quality work that enhances the value and functionality of properties.
Key Responsibilities:
Hire, train, supervise, and schedule staff to ensure efficient workforce management
Plan and direct grounds maintenance activities, including landscaping and property upkeep
Manage and supervise landscape construction projects from start to completion
Estimate labour requirements and materials needed for projects
Requisition and order materials, equipment, and supplies as required
Maintain accurate work records, logs, and project documentation
Resolve work-related issues by providing technical guidance and support to staff
Recommend and implement measures to improve productivity and quality of work
Ensure all work is completed safely, efficiently, and to company standards
Qualifications:
Experience in landscaping, grounds maintenance, or construction supervision
Strong leadership and team management skills
Knowledge of landscaping techniques, tools, and materials
Ability to plan, estimate, and manage multiple projects
Problem-solving skills and ability to provide technical advice
Good organizational and record-keeping abilities
