Overview
Manitoulin Motel Ltd. is seeking an experienced and motivated Motel Manager to oversee the
daily operations of a motel establishment and ensure high standards of guest service, operational
efficiency, staff supervision, and financial performance. The successful candidate will manage
accommodation services, coordinate staffing and maintenance activities, monitor budgets and
revenues, and implement operational policies and customer service standards consistent with
hospitality industry requirements.

Experience
1 year to less than 2 years of experience in the hospitality or accommodation industry
Previous supervisory or management experience in a hotel, motel, resort, or similar
accommodation establishment is required

Responsibilities and Tasks
The Motel Manager will be responsible for the following duties:
Develop and implement policies and procedures for daily operations
Recruit and hire staff
Supervise staff and conduct performance reviews
Conduct training sessions and oversee employee development
Establish employee work schedules and monitor staffing requirements
Prepare budgets and monitor revenues and expenses
Prepare marketing plans and implement marketing activities
Negotiate with suppliers for the provision of materials and supplies
Negotiate with clients for the use of facilities and accommodation arrangements
Organize and maintain inventory control systems
Oversee front desk, housekeeping, and maintenance operations
Enforce workplace policies and procedures
Address customers’ complaints or concerns in a professional manner
Ensure high standards of guest accommodation and customer service
Develop and implement business plans and operational objectives
Manage events, group bookings, and accommodation arrangements as required
