Job Overview

Manitoulin Motel Ltd is seeking a reliable and motivated Cleaning Supervisor to oversee and

coordinate the daily activities of cleaning staff in a motel environment. The successful candidate

will ensure that all facilities meet established cleanliness, safety, and quality standards, while

supporting efficient operations and staff performance.

Education

 Secondary (high) school graduation certificate

 or equivalent experience

Experience

 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in cleaning, housekeeping, or a related

supervisory role in a service environment

 Previous experience supervising or coordinating staff is required

 Experience in a hotel, motel, or hospitality setting is an asset

Main Duties and Responsibilities

The Cleaning Supervisor will perform duties consistent with NOC 62024 – Cleaning

Supervisors, including:

 Supervise and coordinate the activities of cleaning and housekeeping staff

 Inspect rooms, common areas, and facilities to ensure safety and cleanliness standards are

met

 Establish and implement cleaning schedules and work procedures

 Hire and train or arrange for training of cleaning staff

 Assist in preparing staff schedules and coordinating activities with other departments

 Prepare cost estimates and assist in budget-related activities

 Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment

 Recommend or arrange for maintenance, repair work, or replacement of furnishings and

equipment

 Maintain records related to cleaning operations and expenditures

 Assist cleaning staff in performing duties as required

 Ensure compliance with workplace health and safety standards
