We are seeking enthusiastic and dedicated individuals to join our team.
JOB SUMMARY:
As Line Cook you will be responsible for conducting yourself professionally whilst ensuring the quality and standards of the Food & Beverage Department. You will be responsible for following all assigned tasks and duties, food preparation procedures, health and safety standards, kitchen operating procedures, kitchen equipment maintenance, etc.
· Salary: $19 to $21.00 hourly (To be negotiated, as per experience)
· Terms of employment: Permanent employment, Full time, 32 to 40 hours per week
· Starts as soon as possible

· Employment conditions: must be flexible to work any assigned shift including Evening, Morning, Day, Weekends, and holidays.
Languages: English
Education: Education is an asset.
Experience: 1 to 2 years of professional cooking experience.
Culinary education is an asset.
On site: Work must be completed at the physical location. There is no option to work remotely.
Responsibilities and Tasks
Operate under the direction of the Head Chef.
Prepare and cook meals or individual dishes and foods, as per recipe guidelines.
Prepare dishes for customers with food allergies or intolerances.
Be on line cooking, calling orders and staging the timing of plate execution.
Follow daily preparation lists and requirements.
Follow all opening and closing checklists and standard operating procedures.
Follow all cleaning checklists and logs for kitchen maintenance.
Follow all recipes and portion control standards correctly.
Ensure that all workstations remain clean, organized, and stocked before and during service.
Ensure all kitchen inventory and storage areas are clean and organized.
Receive products; verify the invoices are correct and ensure product quality.
Produce high-quality products and server to ensure guest satisfaction and retention.
Follow staffing guidelines and timelines throughout working shifts.
Maintain all health and safety standards as outlined by Government regulations.
Attend meetings related to Food and Beverage if required.
Train junior staff in preparation, cooking and handling of food
Supervise junior kitchen staff and helpers
Assist in organizing buffets and banquets
Perform other related duties as required by the Head/Sous Chef.
Must be well experience in proper use and maintenance of kitchen equipment and tools.
Credentials: Safe Food Handling certificate. WHMIS certification.
Knowledge of federal and provincial health, safety and food handling laws and regulations is required.
Work conditions and physical capabilities: Attention to detail, Handling heavy loads, physically demanding, Repetitive tasks, standing for extended periods, Ability to handle weight Up to 23 kg (50 lbs)
