Responsibilities
Tasks
· Calculate heating and cooling loads
· Design duct systems
· Manufacture and assemble different prefabricated fibreglass elements
· Read blueprints, drawings and specifications to determine work requirements
· Select equipment for residential and small commercial construction
· Measure and mark sheet metal according to template
· Operate metalworking machines to cut, punch, drill, shape or straighten sheet metal
· Grind and buff seams, joints and rough surfaces
· Schedule work
· Inspect products to ensure quality and conformity to specification
· Cut materials using power tools or by hand
· Assemble, erect and install hoisting and rigging equipment
· Fit and join sheet metal parts
· Install sheet metal products according to specifications and building codes
