Crown Flooring and Construction Ltd. is a rapidly growing flooring and tiling company specializing in flooring and tiling supply & installation, floor refinishing, self-levelling, concrete restoration, polished concrete, sealed concrete, and epoxy flooring systems. We work on both commercial and residential projects throughout British Columbia. We are currently seeking experienced Concrete Finishers to join our team. Candidates must be willing to travel to project sites across British Columbia as required.
Job Title: Concrete Finisher (NOC 73100)
Job Duties
Check formwork, granular base and steel reinforcement materials and direct placement of concrete into forms or onto surfaces according to grade.
Fill hollows and remove high spots to smooth freshly poured concrete.
Operate power vibrators to compact concrete.
Level concrete surfaces according to grade and depth specifications using straightedges, screeds and floats.
Finish concrete surfaces using hand and power tools to achieve the required texture and appearance.
Grind, polish, seal and restore concrete surfaces.
Install and apply epoxy flooring systems in accordance with manufacturer specifications.
Apply hardening, sealing and curing compounds to concrete surfaces.
Waterproof, damp-proof and restore concrete surfaces.
Repair, resurface and replace worn or damaged sections of concrete floors and other concrete structures.
Install anchor bolts, steel plates, door sills and other fixtures in freshly poured concrete.
Follow company safety procedures and maintain a safe work environment.
Coordinate with supervisors, project managers and other trades to ensure timely completion of projects.
Requirements
Completion of Secondary School.
Ability to communicate in English.
Minimum 2 to 3 years of experience as a Concrete Finisher.
Must have experience in polished concrete, sealed concrete and epoxy flooring systems.
Experience with concrete placement, finishing, repair and restoration.
Ability to read construction drawings and follow specifications.
Ability to install flooring materials such as resilient flooring, luxury vinyl tile (LVT), laminate, engineered hardwood or carpet is an asset.
Willingness to travel to various project sites throughout British Columbia.
Valid Canadian driver's licence is an asset.
Ability to perform physically demanding work and lift construction materials and equipment.
Position Details
Position Available: Concrete Finisher
Terms of Employment: Full Time, Permanent
Working Hours: 30–40 hours per week, Monday to Saturday (depending on project requirements)
Salary: $37.00 per hour
