Aluminum Welder-Fitter
Unlike steel, aluminum offers very little margin for error. Success depends on getting it right the first time through precise preparation, process control, and welding technique.
As an Aluminum Welder-Fitter, you perform all duties of an Aluminum Welder, including GMAW aluminum welding, blueprint interpretation, weld inspection, and the fabrication of aluminum trailer components.
The Aluminum Welder-Fitter combines advanced welding expertise with fitting and assembly skills. This role requires the ability to align, fit, assemble, and weld components into complete trailer assemblies while interpreting and adapting complex blueprints to real production challenges. The Aluminum Welder-Fitter is expected to troubleshoot fitting issues, ensure structural accuracy, and consistently deliver assemblies that meet the highest standards of quality, strength, durability, and finish.
Due to the higher level of responsibility and technical complexity involved in fitting and assembly, this position typically requires several additional years of hands-on aluminum welding experience in the trailer or heavy equipment industry.
