Location: 11401 100 Avenue, Grande Prairie, Alberta. T8V5M6
Salary: $36.00 to $38.00 hourly (To be negotiated)
Terms of employment: Permanent employment, Full time, 30 to 35 hours per week
Employment conditions: Candidate must be flexible to work any assigned shift as the work demands including Evening, Morning, Day, Weekend and holidays.
Start date: Starts as soon as possible

Languages: English
Education: Completion of secondary school. College, certificate or diploma in culinary discipline of a program of 3 months to less than 1 year OR apprentice training.
Experience: 3 years to less than 5 years of experience in commercial food preparation, including two years in culinary Supervisory capacity.
Credentials: Safe Food Handling certificate (can be obtained and provide within 2 weeks of commencing employment).
On site: Work must be completed at the physical location. There is no option to work remotely.
Responsibilities and Tasks
· Estimate labour costs and amount and costs of supplies and food items.
· Maintain records of food costs, consumption, sales and inventory.
· Analyze operating costs and other data.
· Demonstrate new cooking techniques and new equipment to cooking staff.
· Supervise activities of specialist chefs, chefs, cooks and other kitchen workers.
· Create new recipes.
· Instruct and train staff in preparation, cooking, handling garnishing and presentation of food.
· Prepare and cook complete meals and specialty foods on a regular basis and/or for events such as banquets and for special guests or functions.
· Prepare dishes for customers with food allergies or intolerances.
· Requisition food and kitchen supplies.
· Consult with clients regarding banquets and specialty functions.
· Plan and direct food preparation and cooking activities.
· Plan menus and ensure food meets quality standards.
· Recruit and hire staff.
· Leading/instructing individuals.
· Perform any other duties as required for business needs.
