· Salary: $36.95 hourly for 70 hours bi-weekly
· Employment type: Permanent, full-time

Requirements
· Education: Secondary school graduation certificate
· Experience: 3 years to less than 5 years of professional cooking experience, preferably with authentic Thai cuisine
· Certification: Food Safety Certificate
Work Location and Environment
This position requires work to be completed at the restaurant’s physical location. There is no option to work remotely.

Key Responsibilities
· Prepare and cook authentic Thai dishes, complete meals, specialty foods, and banquet-style menu items to a consistently high standard.
· Develop, test, and refine recipes while maintaining the traditional taste, aroma, balance, and presentation of Thai cuisine.
· Plan and direct food preparation and cooking activities in the kitchen.
· Instruct cooks and kitchen staff on preparation methods, cooking techniques, garnishing, plating, and presentation.
· Supervise cooks and other kitchen staff, providing leadership, training, and daily direction.
· Estimate food and supply requirements, requisition kitchen supplies, and arrange for equipment purchases or repairs as needed.
· Maintain records of food costs, consumption, sales, and inventory.
· Support recruitment, hiring, and training of kitchen staff when required.
· Ensure food quality, safety, cleanliness, and consistency in accordance with restaurant standards.
Supervision
· Supervise approximately 11–15 kitchen staff members.
Cuisine Specialization
· Authentic Thai cuisine, including traditional preparation methods, flavour balancing, sauces, curries, stir-fries, soups, and presentation.
