· Salary: 32.00 to 37.00 hourly (To be negotiated)
· Terms of employment: Permanent employment, Full time, 30 to 35 hours per week
· Must be flexible to work Evening, Morning, Day, Weekends and holidays.
· Starts as soon as possible

Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
Experience: 3 years to less than 5 years
On site: Work must be completed at the physical location. There is no option to work remotely.
Responsibilities and Tasks
Food-cost and inventory management
Estimate quantities and costs of food, ingredients, kitchen supplies and equipment.
Estimate labour requirements and labour costs.
Maintain records of food costs, consumption, sales and inventory.
Monitor food usage, waste and operating costs and recommend measures to control costs.
Requisition food, ingredients and kitchen supplies.
Kitchen supervision
Supervise, coordinate and schedule the activities of chefs, cooks and other kitchen staff.
Lead and instruct kitchen employees in food preparation, cooking, garnishing and presentation.
Demonstrate new cooking techniques and proper use of kitchen equipment.
Train kitchen staff in food preparation, cooking, sanitation and safe food-handling procedures.
Assist management with the recruitment and selection of kitchen staff.
Menu planning and food preparation
Plan menus and establish food preparation standards in accordance with the restaurant's concept and customer requirements.
Prepare and cook complete meals and specialty foods for regular service, special guests, private functions and banquets.
Develop and implement recipes and standardized preparation procedures where required.
Ensure food quality, portion sizes, presentation and consistency meet the restaurant's standards.
Prepare meals for customers with food allergies, intolerances or specific dietary requirements.
Equipment and operations
Arrange for the purchase, maintenance and repair of kitchen equipment and supplies.
Monitor kitchen operations and recommend improvements to food preparation procedures and workflow.
Ensure compliance with applicable food-safety, sanitation and workplace-safety requirements.
