Civil Engineering Technician – Permanent Full-Time

INFINITY GLASS GROUP INC. is seeking one dedicated and experienced Civil Engineering Technician to join our team. This is a permanent, full-time position starting as soon as possible.
Position Details:
Salary: $37.60/hour
Hours: 30 to 40 hours per week
Requirements:
Language: English
Education: College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years
Experience: Minimum 1 year of work experience in the field.
Responsibilities:
• Review architectural, structural and construction drawings, specifications and project documents to determine dimensions, materials, quantities and technical requirements for architectural glass projects.
• Assist in preparing and revising engineering drawings, shop drawings, technical plans and specifications for commercial and industrial construction projects.
• Prepare material quantity take-offs, cost estimates and material requirements based on project drawings, specifications and construction documents.
• Assist in developing technical designs and detailed drawings for glass systems and related construction components in accordance with project specifications, building codes and applicable standards.
• Participate in site visits, field measurements, inspections and technical investigations to collect information required for project planning and design.
• Review drawings and project documentation to identify discrepancies, dimensional conflicts and technical issues, and assist in developing solutions.
• Prepare and maintain project schedules, technical reports, quantity calculations, material specifications and other project documentation.
• Coordinate technical information with architects, engineers, contractors, suppliers and internal teams to ensure project requirements are accurately interpreted and implemented.
