Food Services Manager
We are looking for a well experienced Food Services Manager for a well-known eatery Sara and Rasa Restaurant located at 98 Portland St Toronto ON M5V 2N2 Canada.

JOB DUTIES:
Plan, organize, direct, control and evaluate the day-to-day operations of SARA Restaurant, including the seven-course tasting-menu service, dining-room operations, beverage service, reservations and private/group dining functions, ensuring efficient operations and consistent service standards.
Develop, implement and monitor restaurant service procedures and operating standards, including guest reception, reservation management, table and course pacing, menu presentation, wine-pairing service, opening and closing procedures, and coordination between front-of-house and kitchen teams.
Recruit, train, supervise and evaluate food-service employees, including servers, hosts and bartenders, establishing training procedures relating to menu and ingredient knowledge, dietary and allergen requirements, guest service, beverage service, POS procedures and restaurant policies.
Prepare employee schedules and coordinate staffing levels according to reservation volumes, tasting-menu service requirements, private events and operational needs; monitor employee performance, attendance and productivity and take appropriate corrective action.
Manage food, beverage and restaurant-supply purchasing and inventory, including monitoring stock levels, coordinating orders and deliveries, maintaining proper storage practices, controlling waste and spoilage, and ensuring sufficient supplies are available for daily and special-event operations.
Monitor restaurant sales, labour costs, food and beverage costs and operating expenses, review operational and financial information, identify variances and opportunities for improvement, and implement appropriate measures to improve efficiency, profitability and cost control.
Oversee guest relations and resolve customer complaints, special requests and service issues, including dietary restrictions, allergies, reservations, special occasions, wine-pairing requirements and private/group dining arrangements, ensuring a high-quality and consistent guest experience.
Ensure compliance with applicable food-safety, sanitation, occupational health and safety and responsible-alcohol-service requirements, coordinate private and group dining operations with clients and staff, and maintain procedures that support a safe, compliant and professionally operated restaurant.
Prerequisites:
Education: College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from program of 1 year to 2 years or equivalent experience
Experience & Skills: 5 years or more experience in the food industry
Language: English
Hourly Rate: $36.96 per Hour for 30 to 40 Hours per week
Starting Date: As soon as possible
Terms of Employment: Fulltime and permanent
