BK HEER DEVELOPMENT INC DBA Chevron Gas Station is looking for an Area Manager - retail store chain to work at 222 Terminal Avenue Nanaimo, BC, V9R 5C8. Salary is 43.27 dollars per hour and no of hours are 35 per week.(Even though this is a full time position, part time job seekers are encouraged to apply.)
Job Duties:
Plan, direct and evaluate the operations of establishments engaged in retail sales.
Manage staff and assign duties.
Determine merchandise and services to be sold, and implement price and credit policies.
Source and negotiate with vendors when necessary to procure merchandise for resale.
Develop and implement marketing strategies.
Plan budgets, authorize expenditures, and monitor revenues.
Evaluate and improve customer service and respond to customer requests and issues.
Address staffing requirements, development and retention of staff.
Conduct performance reviews.
Study market research and trends to determine consumer demand, potential sales volumes and effect of competitors' operations on sales.
Oversee operations across multiple store locations, with work locations varying according to operational needs and occasional visits to other stores as required.
Requirements:
A college diploma or university degree in business administration or other field related to the product or service being sold may be required. 3 to 5 years of related retail sales experience at increasing levels of responsibility are usually required. Public Transportation is available. Driver Licence is an asset.
