11481230 BC LTD DBA Nimpkish Hotel & Restaurant is looking for a full-time Cook to work at 318 Fir Street, ALERT BAY, British Columbia V0N 1A0. Salary is 22 dollars per hour and no of hours are 40 per week.(Even though this is a full time position, part time job seekers are encouraged to apply.)
Job Duties:
Prepare and cook complete meals, individual dishes, and menu items for restaurant customers and guests staying at or visiting the hotel.
Coordinate and supervise kitchen helpers, assign daily tasks, and ensure food preparation activities are completed efficiently and on time.
Oversee daily kitchen operations, maintain food safety and sanitation standards, and ensure proper handling, storage, and preparation of ingredients.
Monitor and maintain inventory records of food ingredients, kitchen supplies, and equipment, and assist with ordering supplies as required.
Assist in menu planning, determine portion sizes, estimate food quantities and preparation costs, and minimize food waste.
Maintain the cleanliness and organization of kitchen workstations, cooking equipment, utensils, and food preparation areas.
Requirements:
Completion of Secondary School. At least 2 years experience of cooking in a commercial kitchen environment or the combination of education in cooking and at least one year experience of cooking in a commercial kitchen environment.
