(Food Products Inspector - Night Shift)
We are looking for experienced Food Products Inspectors for Summerhill Market at 129 Railside Rd, North York, ON M3A 1B7.

JOB DUTIES:
● Inspect incoming and processed fish and seafood for freshness, quality, temperature and proper handling.
● Monitor receiving, storage, preparation, processing and packaging to ensure food safety, sanitation and quality standards are met.
● Check cold-chain controls, product rotation, storage conditions, labelling and traceability throughout the 24/7 production facility.
● Inspect finished seafood products and packaging before transfer or distribution to Summerhill Market locations.
● Monitor seafood handling across production areas and speciality stations to identify contamination, spoilage or quality concerns.
● Verify portioning, packaging and product specifications against established quality standards.
● Review inventory, ordering and production-schedule information in company systems, including Guac where used, to support product control and traceability.
● Coordinate with receivers, production staff, packagers and quality-control personnel to correct product or handling issues.
● Instruct food handlers on proper seafood storage, rotation, temperature control and sanitation procedures.
● Document inspection findings, maintain quality-control records and report non-conforming products or food-safety concerns.
● Follow applicable federal and provincial food-safety requirements and company inspection procedures.
PREREQUISITES:
Education: Secondary School Certificate
Experience & Skills: 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in the food/seafood production industry
Language: English
Annual Salary: $77,000 to $80,000 for a minimum of 40 hours per week
Shift: Night shift; shifts start at approximately 2:00 a.m. Weekend work required.
Starting Date: As soon as possible
Terms of Employment: Full-time and permanent
Benefits: 4% vacation pay
