Job Description
Streamworks Tech Inc. is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Finance Officer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, managing accounting processes, supporting payroll and financial reporting, preparing financial projections, and assisting with external audits.
This position requires strong accounting knowledge combined with experience using modern cloud-based accounting and financial technology platforms.
Responsibilities
- Calculate and prepare payroll.
- Keep financial records and establish, maintain, and balance various accounts using manual and computerized bookkeeping systems.
- Create and maintain automated systems connecting accounting software and financial data.
- Maintain general ledgers and prepare financial statements.
- Generate regular cash-flow forecasts and financial projections.
- Prepare statistical, financial, and accounting reports.
- Prepare tax returns and related documentation.
- Prepare trial balances of books.
- Reconcile bank, credit card, customer, vendor, and other financial accounts.
- Review and maintain accounting systems and financial records.
- Support external auditors by preparing financial records, schedules, and supporting documentation.
- Work with online accounting, payment, billing, and financial management systems.
Education & Experience
- College/CEGEP education in accounting, finance, bookkeeping, business administration, or a related field.
- 3 years to less than 5 years of relevant experience.
- Strong understanding of accounting and financial reporting.
- Experience with financial planning, external audit support, and financial technology.
Computer & Technology Knowledge
Experience with the following platforms is preferred:
- QuickBooks Online
- WagePoint
- Avalara
- Staxbill
- Chargebee
- Dext
- RBC PayEdge
- Microsoft Excel
