(Chef de Partie – International Cuisine)
We are looking for a well-experienced Chef de Partie – International Cuisine for “TOBEN” located at 150 Symes Rd, Unit 130, York, ON M6N 0B1, Canada.

Tasks and Responsibilities:
Prepare, cook and present a variety of international dishes using appropriate ingredients, seasonings and cooking techniques.
Manage an assigned kitchen station and ensure food preparation, cooking, portioning and presentation meet established quality standards.
Prepare international menu items, including meats, seafood, vegetables, sauces, marinades, appetizers and accompaniments for catered events.
Coordinate food preparation and production for corporate events, weddings, private functions and other on-site and off-site catering services.
Prepare and organize ingredients and mise en place according to production schedules, event menus and anticipated guest counts.
Apply appropriate international cooking techniques and flavour profiles while maintaining consistency in taste, texture, portion size and presentation.
Assist senior chefs in preparing and executing customized, seasonal and internationally inspired menus for different catering events.
Supervise and guide junior kitchen staff and kitchen helpers in food preparation, cooking methods, plating and kitchen procedures.
Monitor the quality and freshness of ingredients and finished dishes while following proper food handling, storage, sanitation and kitchen safety procedures.
Monitor ingredients and kitchen supplies, report shortages, minimize food waste and maintain a clean, organized and efficient workstation.
Prerequisites:
Education: Secondary school education or equivalent.
Experience & Skills: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in professional cooking, preferably with experience preparing international cuisine.
Language: English
Hourly Rate: $37.00 to $39.00 per Hour for 30 to 40 Hours per week
Starting Date: As soon as possible
Terms of Employment: Fulltime and permanent
Work Location: On site
