Located in the beautiful Creston Valley, in British Columbia, Faraman Farm is looking for two (2) General Farm Workers for their mixed fruit and vegetable farm. These positions are for a seasonal 10-month contract for March through December 2027, with some flexibility to start date. The General Farm Worker will work at our various farming locations in Canyon, BC, Erickson, BC, and Creston, BC.
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:
Duration: 10 months – Estimated as March through December 2027
Vacancies: 2 positions
Hours: Full-time, minimum 30 hours per week, with longer hours during peak production periods. Required to work overtime, weekends, days, evenings as required to meet production requirements.
Wage: CAD $18.25/hour
Benefits: 4% Vacation pay

SKILL REQUIREMENTS:
Education: No formal requirement
Experience: Previous experience working with tree crops such as cherries, peaches, and apples, as well as field crops that are hand-harvested, is an asset.
JOB DUTIES:
· Pre- and post-harvest farm duties;
· Prune and plant tree crops and field crops;
· Care for tree and field crops, including weeding, thinning, watering, and spraying;
· Harvest of field and tree crops;
· Sort, wash, weigh and package fruits and vegetables at farm;
· Load, unload, and transfer crates/supplies/farm produce and products for transport;
· May assist with seasonal on-farm produce stand as needed;
· General farm duties.
Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Attention to detail, Combination of sitting, standing, walking, physically demanding.
