Candidate must be able to complete tight deadlines in a physically demanding work environment and handle a combination of sitting, walking, bending, crouching, and kneeling throughout the duration of the shift.

Specific Skills:
· Read and interpret blueprints, drawings and sketches to determine specifications and calculate requirements.
· Prepare layouts in conformance to building codes, using measuring tools.
· Measuring, cutting, and joining materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel and other materials.
· Repairing and renovating wooden structures.
· Build foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring and erect walls and roof systems.
· Preparing cost.
· Fitting and installing windows, doors, stairs, mouldings and hardware.
· Maintain, repair and renovate residences and wooden structures in mills, mines, hospitals, industrial plants and other establishments.
· Safety conscious and willing to follow all safety policies and procedures.
· Strong working knowledge of framing and foundation components.
· Complete other duties as directed by Construction Supervisor.
